DELICIOUS PROJECT HOLDS ITS 1ST GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING
DELICIOUS project had its 1st General Assembly meeting in Cairo (Egypt) ans part of the team attended the ICSST Congress in October
After a few months without seeing each other, part of our team had the opportunity to meat again, this time in the beautiful city of Cairo (Egypt) during the 5th and 6th of October.
During the 5th of October, the ICSST (International Congress of Sport Science and Technology), a congress that is celebrated yearly, took place in Cairo. It is a group of sports and health scientists from regional, national, and international academic and research networks that meets annually to present and discuss the state-of-the-art research in the field of physical activity (PA), Exercise, and technology in health promotion across lifespan.
Our partner University of Catania had a spot to make a presentation during ICSST Congress, organised by ASSIUT University among others.
Sports, movement and physical activity among children, adolescents and their families as a very important area at DELICIOUS project, as we have told you already.
Then, on the 6th of October, DELICIOUS’ very 1st General Assembly Meeting took place with a big majority of present attendees and some members participating online. During this meeting, all work packages made presentations and explained the progress achieved throughout these first months after our Kick Off Meeting in Zaragoza in May. There was time for discussions around some topics in the projects and, of course, for some networking to share interesting ideas. Then, all members shared the progress they expect to make for the next 6 months of project until we all meet again.
After all the work, obviously, DELICIOUS partners were able to appreciate the tasty cuisine from Cairo and walk around its busy streets and markets. Also, they had a bit of sight seeing and tourism time to complete a very enriching trip for the project.
